Step-by-Step Application Guide: Achieving Perfection with Royale Atmos

Preparation Stage: Surface Enhancement Before painting, ensure the surface is primed:

• Thoroughly prepare the surface, including plastering, cleaning, and filling cracks, holes, and dents.

The 7-Step Application Process:

Step 1 – Sanding:
Begin by sanding the surface with 180-grit sandpaper, then ensure it’s clean and free from dust.

Step 2 – Initial Base Coat:
Apply the first coat of Royale Wall Basecoat diluted with 50% to 60% water using a brush or roller. Allow 4 to 6 hours of drying time before recoating.

Step 3 – Acrylic Wall Putty:
Apply the Acrylic Wall Putty as required, following the recommended dilution. Allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours before moving forward.

Step 4 – Sanding (Again):
Sanding is essential; use 180-grit sandpaper to smoothen the surface and then clean it thoroughly.

Step 5 – Second Base Coat:
Apply the second coat of Royale Wall Basecoat, again diluted with 50% to 60% water. Wait for 4 to 6 hours before recoating.

Step 6 – Fine Sanding:
Achieve a polished finish by sanding the surface with 320-grit sandpaper, followed by thorough cleaning.

Step 7 – Royale Atmos Application:
This final step involves two coats of Royale Atmos, with a 3-4 hour interval between them. For brush or roller application, dilute with water up to 40% to 50%. For a felt roller, dilute with water up to 24% to 40%.

Drying Time:
Surface drying time is approximately 30 minutes, while hard drying takes around 4 hours.

Coverage:
Expect coverage of 140 to 160 sq.ft per liter for two coats.

Tools Required:
Brush, roller, spray, putty knife, sanding paper (180 and 320).

Precautions:

• Avoid application when the ambient temperature is below 10°C or may drop to this level within 4 hours.
• Do not excessively thin or extend the brush.
• Tint using Asian Paints machine colorants exclusively.
• Ensure thorough stirring and straining before use.
• Tinted paints require rigorous shaking immediately after tint addition and before use.
